Houston, Texas – August 29, 2023—Symphony North of Houston announced its 2023-2024 season repertoire.

Symphony North of Houston is pleased to announce its 2023-2024 season repertoire. The concert dates are October 15 and December 3, 2032. February 11th and April 21st are the dates in 2024. A May 2024 concert is still in the planning stages and an announcement is forthcoming. Additional information can be found at this link: 2023-2024 Season.

All concerts will be under the baton of Symphony North’s newly appointed principal conductor, Dr. Karl Blench. The October 15th / Fall Concert will feature Moritz Moszkowski’s Suite for Two Violins with guest soloists Rodica Gonzalez and Mihaela Frusina, Pablo de Sarasate’s Navarra, and Jean Sibelius’ Symphony No. 2.

The December 3rd / Christmas Concert will highlight Joseph Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto in Eb Major with Symphony North soloist, Todd Olges, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Christmas Overture, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.

The February 11th / Winter Concert will feature David Adickes’ Mary’s Waltz, selections from Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with Symphony North soloist Lauren Martin, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 25, and selections from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake Suite.

The April 21st / Early Spring Concert will spotlight winners of our 2023-2024 Young Artist Competition, Dmitri Shostakovich’s Festive Overture, Franz Liszt’s Les Preludes, and Bedřich Smetana’s The Moldau.

Our final concert in May is being finalized and information about it will soon be published.
