Christmas Is Almost Here
Symphony North of Houston’s Christmas concert of the 2021-2022 season is on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 4:00 PM. The performance will be in our new performance venue: Salem Lutheran Church. Once again, we certainly thank them for graciously providing its beautiful facilities for our rehearsals and concerts.
Program
Topping the program line up is Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8. Beethoven was 41 when he composed it and which only took him four months to complete it’s four movements. It is the fourth movement that Tchaikovsky called,
One of the greatest symphonic masterpieces of Beethoven.
Christmas Section
The Christmas section of the program includes many Christmas favorites such as:
- Overture on French Carols by Philip Lane
- A Canadian Brass Christmas by Calvin Custer
- A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson
- Waltz of the Flowers (from the Nutcracker) by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky
