Symphony North of Houston is a 40-plus-year-old community-based orchestra whose musicians include teachers, homemakers, engineers, lawyers, bankers, and other professionals, as well as a select group of students, all sharing a love of symphonic music from Tomaso Albinoni to John Williams.

We perform five concerts each academic year at Northwoods Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas, For 24 years, Symphony North has sponsored a Young Artist Competition whose winners perform in concert with Symphony North. Due to disruptions caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus, during the 2021-2022 season, our winners will perform during a spring concert.

Our philosophy is that good music should be accessible to everyone. Because of this, admission to our concerts is free of charge. We survive as an institution by accepting donations.
