Patrick Pan, 16, started piano at 3 and violin at 7. He studies piano with John and Nancy Weems.

As a pianist, Patrick has won numerous competitions at the international, national, and state levels, including 1st place at the Dubois International Competition and 3rd at the 6th Yamaha USASU International Competition. As the winner of the Houston Symphony Young Artist Competition, Patrick performed with the Houston Symphony in July 2013. In 2013, Patrick performed on NPR’s From The Top, which was broadcast on hundreds of NPR stations in America.

On the violin, Patrick has also won numerous competitions and performed with several orchestras.

In his free time, Patrick loves reading Hemingway and watching movies. Next year Patrick will enroll in the Harvard-New England Conservatory Joint Program, where he will receive a Bachelor’s degree in science in 2018 and a Master’s degree in piano performance in 2019.
