Nickolas Warwick

A native of Houston, Texas, Nickolas Warwick has been studying at Suzuki Academy Houston since a few months shy of four. He is currently a student of Cleveland Institute of Music professor, Jan Marc Sloman, as well as Geoff Herd of the Suzuki Academy. At age 6, he was awarded First Place in Houston’s “Sherman Clay’s Got Talent” competition for his rendition of Dvorak’s Humoresque.

He has performed with several middle school and high school orchestras in the Houston area. Nationally, Nickolas has twice been selected to perform in Colorado Suzuki Institutes’ (CSI) Solo Honor Recital, performing Vivaldi’s Concerto in A Minor, 3rd Movement (at age 7) and J.S.Bach’s Concerto No.1, Allegro moderato (at age 9). Additionally, with CSI, he was selected to participate in their Chamber Quartet, and was first violin in a performance of Haydn’s “The Bird” (Opus 33. No. 4 String Quartet).

This past summer Nickolas attended Meadowmount School of Music as a student of Walter Schweed. Nickolas plays a ¾ Ram Din (2004) with a Cassini bow. His professional influences are Joshua Bell, Julia Fisher, and David Garrett.

Like other ten year olds, Nickolas also enjoys Minecraft, Legos, Star Wars, Nerf toys, soccer, swimming, and his dog, Charlie.
