Houston, Texas – June 16, 2025—Symphony North of Houston announced its 50th Anniversary, 2025-2026 season repertoire.
Symphony North of Houston is pleased to announce its 50th Anniversary, 2025-2026 season repertoire. The concert dates are October 12 and December 7, 2025. February 15th, March 22nd, and May17th are the dates in 2026. Additional information can be found here: 2025-2025 Season.
All concerts will be under the baton of Symphony North’s principal conductor, Dr. Karl Blench. The October 12th / Fall Concert will feature Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 in D minor.
The December 7th / Christmas Concert will highlight selections from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, an aria to be determined with Symphony North soloist, Rene Babin, Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas, and additional Christmas favorites.
The February 15th / Winter Concert will feature Gioachino Rossini’s Semiramide Overture, Einojuhani Rautavaara’s Piano Concerto with guest soloist Andrew Staupe, and Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
The March 22nd / Early Spring Concert will present Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, a concerto which is to be determined, and Ottorino Respighi’s Pines of Rome.
The May 17th / Late Spring Concert will spotlight category winners of our 2025-2026 Young Artist Competition, and new overture by Dr. Karl Blench.
