Symphony North of Houston is pleased to publish the Official Rules and online application process for the 2021 – 2022 Young Artist Concerto Competition.
Scholarship Awards to Winners
Symphony North awards scholarships to the 1st and 2nd place winners of the Young Artist Concerto Competition. This year a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the 1st place and a $500 scholarship will be awarded to the 2nd place winners.
Official Rules & Application Information
The competition is open to primary or secondary education students who are 19 years old or younger during the 2021-2022 school year and who are in the Greater Houston area. Applications are to be submitted online at the Young Artist Competition login page.
Important Dates
The deadline for completing the online application and $35 entry fee must be submitted by Saturday, February 26, 2022, midnight CST. From the applications submitted, finalist will be selected to audition before a judge’s panel on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Kingwood High School Auditorium in Kingwood, Texas. Winners will perform with Symphony North of Houston as featured soloists at their Late Spring Concert on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Salem Lutheran Church.
