Houston, Texas – July 2, 2024—Symphony North of Houston announced its 2024-2025 season repertoire.

Symphony North of Houston is pleased to announce its 2024-2025 season repertoire. The concert dates are October 13 and December 8, 2024. February 16th, April 6th, and May18th are the dates in 2025. Additional information can be found at this link: 2024-2025 Season.

All concerts will be under the baton of Symphony North’s principal conductor, Dr. Karl Blench. The October 13th / Fall Concert will feature Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite, William Grant Still’s Romance with Symphony North soloist, Zac Thornton, and Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8.

The December 8th / Christmas Concert will highlight Karl Blench’s Christmas Fanfare, Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto with Symphony North soloist, Graeme Richmond, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Greensleeves, John Williams’ Home Alone Theme, and Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride.

The February 16th / Winter Concert will feature Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Overture, Alexander Scriabin’s Piano Concerto in F sharp minor with guest soloist James Palmer, and Aram Khachaturian’s Spartacus Suite No. 2.

The April 6th / Early Spring Concert will present Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Johannes Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D major with guest soloist Sergei Galperin, a local composer’s composition, and Erik Satie’s Parade.

The May 18th / Lat Spring Concert will spotlight category winners of our 2024-2025 Young Artist Competition, Florence Price’s Adoration, and John Williams’ The Cowboys Overture.
